Art Ronk has been a rock solid bass player all his life. In the 1970’s he provided the bottom support for one of north Florida’s most popular rock bands: BB Jam. They recorded an album at Sweetbay Recording Studios, but eventually broke up leading the way for Art to join another north Florida favorite, the all original pop rock dance band: Flipside. That band cut a regionally popular album and grooved for four years before finally retiring in the mid 1980’s. In the early 2000’s the rhythm section of Flipside reformed under the name Harvest Gypsies and since then they have performed around the gulf coast big bend area, rocking the house with their over 80 original song repertoire. And always on top of it….with the bottom….you guessed it….Art Ronk.
