Music has played a big part in Edward Bradley’s life as long as he can remember, from the earliest years of communicating through songs with his brother Jamie, who was blind and had cerebral palsy, to the present days when Ed plays with his two bands, the Harvest Gypsies and Wida Potnisa.

Ed is often hired to do studio recording and is asked to play with various musicians when they are in need of a drummer whom they know is reliable and versatile. Ed has played drums, guitar, and recorder in bands ever since he was 15 years old. He began singing even earlier than that. His first bands were in the Miami area and then he played in New York, Tallahassee, Atlanta and back to Tallahassee, where he calls home today. In Atlanta he played with regionally popular bands: the Lost Angels, the Vidalias, and with the very gifted singer/songwriter Gerard McHugh. In Tallahassee he was in three of the area’s favorite bands: Smitty’s Band, Wide Open Spaces, and Flipside.

Ed usually plays drums, but he has also been a singer/songwriter ever since he was 17. He has two solo CD’s and is in the process of recording two more. One will be the alternative country side of Ed, and the other is a collection of some of his, his sons, and his friend’s favorite Edward Bradley songs from long ago. A quote from Ed can pretty much sum up this bio. “All I ever wanted to be in my life was a musician, a singer, and a songwriter. So far… so good.”
